The way our brains learn new things is by repetition, so it would seem logical that affirmations, the repetitive stating of what we want to believe would surely help us to get a more positive attitude and learn the new behaviors that would change our lives, but they don’t work most of the time. One of the reasons that affirmations fail is because we don’t keep doing them long enough for the changes we want to see happen in our lives to take place.
